CANOL MELLE, SENIOR CLINICAL INTERN, MHC-I
Canol is a graduate clinician in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Touro Universuty who brings both experience and a steady, grounded presence into his work. With over 10 years in behavioral health and community-based services, he has supported individuals across a range of life experiences, including those navigating developmental disabilities, aging, and major life transitions. His approach is rooted in listening with intention, meeting you where you are, and creating a space where you feel respected, understood, and supported.
He earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology, graduating with honors from Touro University and is currently completing my graduate training. He works from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective, believing that you are not broken and already carry the capacity for growth. In the therapy space, he shows up with patience, care, and cultural awareness, offering support that is compassionate, evidence-informed, and grounded. His goal is to help you slow down, process what you’ve been holding, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence at your own pace.
